
As shown in our first report about the font change, this mostly stems from the fact that Exocet, the heavily stylized "Diablo" font, has been used excessively in earlier titles of the franchise. In fact, the sans-serif, Arial-looking font felt out of place and very much not like other Diablo versions. This decision, however, did not add to the incredible amount of immersion present in Diablo IV. We have learned that Blizzard has introduced the first iteration for the sake of readability and accessibility. It's important to note that the old image is based on in-game footage while the new low-quality image was shown during this week's developer livestream.
